Join Kenyan Human Rights Activist Flora Terah; Senior Deputy Director of the Montreal Institute for Genocide Studies Kyle Matthews; and Law Professor Frédéric Mégret for an interactive panel entitled "Kenya and the International Criminal Court: Unpacking the ICC case of 2007-2008 post-election violence in Kenya and its implications on reconciliation and accountability," hosted by Avocats sans frontières McGill.

Abstract

With international criminal proceedings against Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta scheduled to commence in November at the ICC, and the African Union having issued a boycott of all ICC proceedings against any African head of state, a discussion regarding the ICC proceedings on Kenya and international criminal accountability is of an extremely timely nature.
