If you've just received a letter of offer of admission, make sure to read Law Admissions: Newly admitted students to find out what you need to know and do. Before arriving, new students are invited by email to download the orientation package.

Each year, the Faculty of Law, the Law Students Association and the Graduate Law Students Association welcome new students and help them get settled in.

McGill's First-Year Office assists new students and their families obtain information on resources and services available across campus from one central location.

Students arriving in Montreal for the first time who may not be familiar with the North American lifestyle in general, and Montreal in particular, may wish to take advantage of this program. A 'Buddy' is a primary contact person who provides information and guidance to someone who is unfamiliar with their new surroundings. New international students are matched with a student volunteer.
