Faculty of Law
Examinations in the Faculty of Law are scheduled this year from April 14 to 29, 2013, inclusive. We also invite applications for the upcoming mid-terms, Feb. 17-28. All exams are held on weekdays from 9:30 am to 13:00 pm and from 2:30 pm to 6:00 pm. Exams take place in the New Chancellor Day Hall building located at 3644 Peel Street. Invigilators arrive 30 mins before exams: punctuality is crucial.
Invigilator ensure proper conditions exist for the writing of examinations and assist in the distribution and collection of all examination materials. Invigilators give instructions to students and handle problems. Therefore, they must have very good language skills in either English or French. We reserve the right to verify the accuracy of the application and to request an interview.

Exams in the Faculty of Law may run up to 3 ½ hours. Invigilators start work 1/2 hour before the official starting time of the exam and are paid on an hourly basis to a maximum 4 ½ hours.
The hourly rate of pay is $10.80 plus 4% vacation indemnity paid with each pay cheque (a. 18.01 CA) based on the AGSEM Collective Agreement for McGill invigilators. All hired invigilators must complete a AGSEM membership form and return to the SAO prior to starting invigilation. You will find this form in the Invigilator Collective agreement, Appendix 2.
A collective agreement for the Invigilators was signed on October 7, 2013 by AGSEM.

All invigilators are required to attend a paid training session prior to the examination period. The session date will be confirmed shortly.
