Password Security Questions / Reset Unavailable

If you have arrived at this page when attempting to change or reset your McGill Password Security Questions, it means that this service is currently unavailable, either due to scheduled maintenance or an unplanned downtime. Please check the Scheduled Maintenance or Announcements postings on the right side of the screen for details on the situation.

If you know your McGill ID and Minerva PIN, you can reset your McGill Password via Minerva. Once you sign in, go to Personal > Password for McGill Username.

If you do not know your Minerva PIN:

  • Students: contact Service Point at 514-398-7878 to have your PIN reset.
  • Faculty and Staff: contact the IT Service Desk at 514-398-3398 to have your PIN reset.
