myCourses security warning - OK to continue

You may have noticed a security warning pop-up when accessing myCourses from the myMcGill portal or the www.mcgill.ca/mycourses web page.  This pop-up message appears sporadically.

There is currently a problem with myCourses recognizing the certificate. The vendor is looking into the issue to resolve it.

If you see the security warning message, please click OK to continue.  There is no risk to trust the certificate and allow the application to run.

We apologize for this inconvenience and want to assure you that McGill systems are safe to use.  Nonetheless, we encourage users to be vigilant and question security pop-ups whenever they appear.  If you are not sure what to do, please contact the ICS Service Desk for assistance.
