Upgrade to myMcGill portal later in March

In the latter half of March, IT Services will put in place a new high-availability myMcGill portal.  Using a more robust server architecture, myMcGill  should experience fewer down times during peak periods of heavy traffic.

Other than a much improved level of availability, effects on users will be minimal.   After this upgrade:

• You will still be able to access the portal using the myMcGill tab on all McGill Web Pages.
• The URL will change, i.e. it will no longer be mymcgill.mcgill.ca.
• Any portal customizations made prior to the upgrade will be lost, and will need to be redone.
• Any login credentials previously entered for your Library Account will have to be re-entered.
