New online Classroom A/V Instructions tool, and changes to audiovisual support
Classroom A/V Instructions is the new, easy-to-navigate tool that allows faculty and staff to identify and use audiovisual equipment in McGill classrooms and meeting rooms. You can find the link to Classroom A/V Instructions on myMcGill, under the IT Tools tab.
To use it, sign in and drill down to the appropriate building and room. You can view images and details of each piece of audiovisual equipment present, along with operating instructions for its use.
Please note that support staff strive to maintain the accuracy of this tool. You can help by reporting any errors via the contact form, once you are signed in to the tool.
In the classroom, press the Audiovisual Systems Help button on the telephone to dial the ICS Service Desk - your single point of contact for classroom A/V support. Please visit the service description for Classroom Audiovisual Support Services in the IT Knowledge Base.
The following services have been discontinued due to equipment obsolescence:
- Slide conversion to digital
- Media transfer
- Self-service video editing
- CD/DVD duplication
Equipment deliveries have been eliminated. Those borrowing audiovisual equipment will need to pick up their items from the counter at Redpath Library, Room 22 between the hours of 9 am and 5 pm, Monday to Friday. Please visit the service description for Audiovisual Equipment Loans and Purchases in the IT Knowledge Base.
