A McGill Service Provider is an external person working at McGill, who is being paid by a company that has a contractual agreement with McGill.
A new type of ID card is being implemented for use by these people on while working on campus.
The card is light green in colour and displays a photo and the name of the hosting McGill faculty or support unit. In addition to identifying the cardholder, the card will be used for authorized access to rooms and buildings.
A Service Provider must be sponsored by the Dean of the hosting faculty or by the Director of the hosting support unit. Implementation of these cards will be gradual and there will be future announcements explaining how to get them.
