IT Security Alert: Beware of email containing virus executable

There are reports of a virus .EXE file being sent in email messages containing the Subject: "RE: A report on radiation contamination of Canada".
Messages with this subject are now being quarantined by McGill Anti-Spam system. In addition the .exe file is being stripped out of the message.
However, as a general security measure, users should be careful never to open any ZIP or EXE files attached to emails from unknown senders.
