Locked records in INB can be part of normal behaviour. Locking is required to prevent you from modifying a record someone else is updating. However, users can lock themselves and others out of a record and not be aware of it. This can be avoided:
- If you are updating a record, save and exit promptly.
- If you change your mind after starting to update a record, always Roll back before exiting a form.
- Opening multiple INB windows when updating records can cause the records to lock.
Warning: When a session "hangs" in INB, you can use CTRL + ALT + DEL to shut it down; nevertheless, this does not release the record you were working on. ICS Customer Support must resolve locked sessions/records for you. Contact them at 398-3398.
