With the introduction of Active Directory (AD), a new feature in the directory structure is being provided, allowing you to segregate in your Home drive (R:) your non-position-related files (e.g., your email pst files).

This feature is being implemented over the next few days and will be available to everyone by the end of this week.

The Home directory (R:) will contain your files, which will "move" with you as you move within McGill (with little administrative effort). To take advantage of this feature you will have to, over time, segregate your files from the departmental space so they are placed in your Home directory.

A ReadMeFirst.Htm document will be placed in this directory on how to access it from McGill computers as well as remotely.
