To help, on Jan. 31 we’ll launch new software called Alertus that allows us to send pop-up announcements to your computer if an urgent situation arises. People using laptops, Macs or non-ICS-supported desktops will need to install this software manually.
In fall 2011 Canada Post changed the postal codes for a number of buildings on the McGill downtown campus as part of a large-scale changeover. Additional McGill buildings will receive new postal codes in the future.

Minerva and Banner INB, as well as the myMcGill portal, will be unavailable for 30 minutes to resolve the ongoing connectivity issues reported earlier. As of December 28th, McGill’s license of Virus Barrier X will expire. Replacing it is Trend Micro’s Smart Surfing for Mac. Its features include antivirus, antispyware and web threat protection; additionally, it has built in parental controls, a spam blocker and a two-way firewall.
The ICS Service Desk will be closed from December 23, 2011 - January 2, 2012. From January 3 - 6, we will be open from 9am to 5pm, with reduced support staff. The McGill Bookstore will be buying back your textbooks weekdays, starting December 15 - 21, between 10am and 5pm, and Dec 22 from 10am to 2pm (early closing).
