Postal code changes
In fall 2011 Canada Post changed the postal codes for a number of buildings on the McGill downtown campus as part of a large-scale changeover. Additional McGill buildings will receive new postal codes in the future.

Update: Minerva (and Banner INB), myMcGill portal connectivity issues
Minerva and Banner INB, as well as the myMcGill portal, will be unavailable for 30 minutes to resolve the ongoing connectivity issues reported earlier. Original announcement: Minerva and Banner INB are temporarily experiencing high levels of traffic, slowing response times and in some cases causing connection timeouts.

Mac users: get your copy of Smart Surfing for Mac now!
As of December 28th, McGill’s license of Virus Barrier X will expire. Replacing it is Trend Micro’s Smart Surfing for Mac. Its features include antivirus, antispyware and web threat protection; additionally, it has built in parental controls, a spam blocker and a two-way firewall.
ICS Service Desk closed for holidays - prepare now
The ICS Service Desk will be closed from December 23, 2011 - January 2, 2012. From January 3 - 6, we will be open from 9am to 5pm, with reduced support staff. McGill Bookstore - Textbook deals!
The McGill Bookstore will be buying back your textbooks weekdays, starting December 15 - 21, between 10am and 5pm, and Dec 22 from 10am to 2pm (early closing). Intermittent problems persist with telephones to CallCenters (ICS Service Desk, Facilities Maintenance Operations Centre, Enrolment Services, and Continuing Education) have been resolved.
