Users may encounter error messages when both attempting to log into the myMcGill portal and after logging in. We are currently working to resolve this issue and apologize for the inconvenience. In the meantime, alternative links to services are available.
Most McGill Call Centers are unable to answer calls. While we work to correct the problem, please contact the desired Call Center by email if known, to communicate your service request.
The scheduled upgrade of Banner/Minerva is completed and related systems are now open. Note that when logging into Banner, instead of simply entering “BANNER” as the database name, you will need to specify “BANNER.MCGILL.CA”. Please see the full announcement for important details.
When attempting to sign into the myMcGill portal, some users are redirected back to the login page, without any error message even if they use the correct credentials. To successfully log in, we recommend doing the following: 1) Close your browser, then reopen it. 2) Clear your browser's cache and stored cookies. 3) Close your browser again, reopen it and try logging in to myMcGill again.
Please note that the myMcGill portal will be available without interruption today, October 18.
Respondus is a free download from mcgill.ca/software and is a powerful Windows tool that allows instructors to create and manage quizzes and surveys off line.
There is a problem with the Search feature on the Programs, Courses and University Regulations site (www.mcgill.ca/study). We are looking into the issue and hope to resolve it as soon as possible. Check the IT Services site for status updates.
During the early morning of Thursday October 7, Videotron was rejecting mail sent from McGill to Videotron email subscribers. If you sent (or forwarded) a message to a Videotron address overnight, it is possible that your message was not delivered. If you are uncertain, we advise you to resend the message.

A new release of EVault (version 9), the email storage and archiving software, is now available for McGill faculty, staff and affiliates. Administrative computers in units that have a Service Level Agreement (SLA) with ICS, will be upgraded automatically over the next two weeks. For home computers, and those not under SLA with ICS, you can install the plug-in from the IT Knowledge Base.
All internet traffic going to and from McGill may be affected by degraded performance, resulting in a slow connection. Internet in McGill Residences is currently unavailable. We are working on the problem and apologize for the inconvenience.
