A phishing attempt is circulating with the subject line "RE: ITSUPPORT". The message says that your email will be blocked and you are advised to verify your email account by clicking on a fraudulent website. A sample of the email is shown below.

The McGill Shuttle Bus Tracker is a mobile-friendly website that uses Google Maps to show you the location of each bus along its route, and how fast it's moving.

MS Office 365 ProPlus now available for faculty & staff

McGill faculty and staff members now have FREE access to Office 365 ProPlus, which includes the latest versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other Office apps.

The service allows you to install the Office suite on up to 5 personal devices*, including PCs, Macs, and 5 iPad and Windows tablets.

Resolved: Issues activating Office 365 ProPlus applications on iOS mobile devices

Resolved - January 15, 2015:
Microsoft has released an update for Office Mobile Apps, now available on the App Store, which resolves the activation issue reported below.  Please upgrade to this new version (v1.5) now.

Phishing scam: "Subject: Faculty And Staff Mailbox Alert."

A phishing attempt is circulating with the subject line "Faculty And Staff Mailbox Alert.". The message says that your password will expire in the next 2 days and asks you to log on to a fraudulent website to validate your e-mail address and password. A sample of the email is shown below.

Pension System users: if you use Firefox, you may see a warning message

Firefox users attempting to log into McGill’s pension site (http://www.mcgill.ca/hr/bp/pensions/access) might see a warning message stating "This Connection is Untrusted". The warning is displayed because the Mozilla organization hasn’t yet approved the security certificate used by the site.

Phishing Scam from "Aircanada.com", Subject: Order #70189189901 successfully - Ticket and flight details

A phishing attempt is circulating purporting to come from Air Canada, with the Subject: " Order #70189189901 successfully - Ticket and flight details". It asks recipients to download and print a ticket, which is really a .zip attachment containing malware. 

Please delete this email immediately! It is fraudulent and links to malware.
