New phone number for IT Services unit (not for support)
There is a new general telephone number for contacting Directors, Managers and other staff members within IT Services: 514-398-7979. This new number replaces 514-398-5023 and 514-398-7200. All 5-digit extensions for IT staff members are now also available from this new number. For example, to reach a staff member whose old phone number was 514-398-5023 ext. 1234, you would now dial 514-398-7979 and enter extension 1234.
Maintenance of telephone service at Macdonald campus on Wed, Jan 30
Due to maintenance, the Macdonald campus telephone system will be disrupted on Wednesday, January 30, between 7 to 11 pm. During this 4-hour maintenance period, there will be two 45-minute periods when Macdonald users will not be able to:
- Make long distance calls
- Make calls to the downtown campus
- Receive any outside incoming calls
The maintenance will not affect internal calls (incoming or outgoing) between Macdonald campus users, nor will it affect outgoing local calls.
Interruption of telephone service at Macdonald campus
Due to maintenance, all telephones on Macdonald campus will be out of service on Saturday, November 17, starting at 7:00 am. By around 7:45 - 8:00 telephone service will be restored to the Security Office and other high priority circuits. Individual phone lines will be restored one-by-one throughout the day. The maintenance should be completed by about 3:00 pm.
