This year's fair will focus on enhancing student learning through innovative technologies. Faculty will be able to share their teaching experiences with different technologies and demonstrate how they use them to enhance teaching and learning. IMS specialists will guide faculty through hands-on tours of the new features of WebCT Vista and other new technologies for teaching. Representatives from McGill's Information Systems and Technology (IST) units will also provide information about their services. Full details on website (below). We are currently experiencing issues trying to send emails to the server responsible for emails to some sub-domains. The issue is not on the McGill server but on the other server's end. There is nothing McGill can do except to continue to try to deliver the email for the standard 5-day period, at which time it will bounce if still undeliverable.
Please note that the Anti-Spam Quarantine website (http://yourspam.mcgill.ca) will be unavailable on Friday, June 22, 2007, from 06h00 to 12 noon, due to maintenance. Email delivery and quarantining are not affected and will continue to function.
Slow or unresponsive database connections when using Crystal Reports 11 corrected in system-wide fix
Time-outs and slow responses when accessing 10g databases with Crystal Reports have been eliminated. There is no need to maintain ODBC connections as a data source. Furthermore, it is now recommended that only native Oracle connections be used for Crystal Reports, i.e., New Reports > Standard Report Creation Wizard, then expand Create New Connection and select "Oracle Server."
