Please note that the previously announced interruption of the CallPilot voice messaging service this evening has been rescheduled to Wednesday, February 22, from 6 pm to 8 pm, due to maintenance. During this period, callers will not be able to leave voice messages for anyone, nor will voice mail users be able to retrieve their messages. Callers will be connected to a special temporary information message that will disappear as soon as the system maintenance is completed. No user messages, greetings or configurations will be affected. All autoattendant systems will be rerouted to a back-up system, and all menu applications will be rerouted to a special message providing emergency access information.
Please note that the PO-BOX mail server will be unavailable from 06h00 to 09h30 on Sunday, September 19, 2004, due to a maintenance procedure. The STAFF and ELF mail servers may also experience intermittent downtimes during this period. Incoming mail will be queued and delivered when service is restored.
We are currently experiencing issues trying to send emails to the server responsible for emails to some sub-domains. The issue is not on the McGill server but on the other server's end. There is nothing McGill can do except to continue to try to deliver the email for the standard 5-day period, at which time it will bounce if still undeliverable.
Early this morning, Daylight Saving Time (DST) began when clocks moved ahead one hour. Microsoft Outlook users are advised to continue to pay extra attention to meetings and appointments scheduled between March 11 and April 1, 2007. Over the next three weeks, users of calendaring or other date/time-reliant software should also be conscious of potential problems caused by today's time change.
Maintenance work on the PO-Box Mail Server will be performed on April 20, from 07h00 to 12h00. Though no service interruption is expected, users may experience slow response. We thank you for your patience.
Due to a system problem, approximately one quarter of incoming and outgoing email messages were returned to senders today between 11:10 am and 11:50 am. The problem has since been resolved and email delivery is back to normal.
Minerva and Banner are currently unavailable. Also, when signing into McGill web pages, only your McGill Username and Password combination is accepted. Technical staff are investigating the problem.
