As part of the overall university initiative to phase out NetWare file and print services, all services currently provided by WORF (public domain NetWare server) will be migrated to a Windows environment or eliminated no later than Friday, January 14, 2005.

From approximately 2:30 p.m. until 3:40 p.m. this afternoon, we experienced file server problems. Access to files on the network, the Internet, email, etc. was affected. Access is slowly getting back to normal.
Users may experience errors this afternoon when logging in to Minerva. You may see an error screen or information that suggests you are not authorized to access the system. We are investigating the occurrence of these errors and ask that users be patient. Updates to follow.
If you are using Internet Explorer to access the Minerva login screen, the Course Catalog, or Class Schedule, you may need to temporarily right-click on the key icon and select Open Link from the pop-up menu that appears. To link to INB from Banner for administrative staff (INB), you should also right-click to open the link.
The University is currently experiencing a campus-wide email distribution problem. Some users may experience a slowdown of mail delivery. We are working on resolving this problem and will inform you as information becomes available.
This year's fair will focus on enhancing student learning through innovative technologies. Faculty will be able to share their teaching experiences with different technologies and demonstrate how they use them to enhance teaching and learning. IMS specialists will guide faculty through hands-on tours of the new features of WebCT Vista and other new technologies for teaching. There is currently a telephone problem at MAC campus -- no one can make or receive calls. Representatives from Network and Communications Services (NCS) are looking into the issue. Check this site for updates.
The Data Warehouse will be unavailable from 10 pm, Thursday, August 2, until 10 pm, Sunday, August 5, due to system maintenance. During this period, it will not be possible to generate reports or queries from the Data Warehouse. Nakisa will also be affected by this downtime.
As previously announced, Windows users will need to upgrade to the new McGill Wireless NetConnect v2 dialer by mid-morning tomorrow (October 12, 2006).
