Due to the storms last night, many telephones at Macdonald campus are not working. We hope to have them working soon.
Further to our previous announcement, 90% of telephone service has been restored to all McGill buildings in the affected area surrounded by des Pins Ave. W., McTavish St., Docteur-Penfield Ave. and de la Montagne St. NCS is working to have full normal service restored by 17h00 today — or 09h00 tomorrow morning (July 7, 2005) at the very latest. McGill NCS apologizes for the inconvenience and appreciates your patience and understanding.
The EVault central email storage service will be upgraded and will be unavailable on Thursday, Oct. 11, between 6:00 am and 8:00 am. Exchange (email) may also experience short interruptions during this period.
The phone problem that occurred last Friday due to a water-damaged cable is still not resolved. Some buildings affected include: McLennan Library, Redpath Library, Redpath Museum, Leacock Building, Peterson Hall, Student Services Building, 3434 McTavish, Faculty Club, McGill Bookstore and Bronfman Building. Elevator phones have been automatically dialing the security office. Sporadic users in other buildings may also be affected.
Some systems, including Banner Imaging, are experiencing technical difficulties. Please remain patient while the problem is investigated and resolved.
The myMcGill portal service is once again available.
Minerva and Banner are not available at this time (12:55 pm). Further updates to come.
Please note that the previously announced interruption of the CallPilot voice messaging service this evening has been rescheduled to Wednesday, February 22, from 6 pm to 8 pm, due to maintenance. During this period, callers will not be able to leave voice messages for anyone, nor will voice mail users be able to retrieve their messages. Callers will be connected to a special temporary information message that will disappear as soon as the system maintenance is completed. No user messages, greetings or configurations will be affected. All autoattendant systems will be rerouted to a back-up system, and all menu applications will be rerouted to a special message providing emergency access information.
Please note that the PO-BOX mail server will be unavailable from 06h00 to 09h30 on Sunday, September 19, 2004, due to a maintenance procedure. The STAFF and ELF mail servers may also experience intermittent downtimes during this period. Incoming mail will be queued and delivered when service is restored.
