The McGill e-payment service for processing all Internet-based credit card payments, such as those associated with applications for admission to McGill or McGill-licensed software (ELMS), will be unavailable Sunday, February 24, from 4:00 to 7:00 am.
The McGill telephone service will be interrupted this Saturday, August 25.
Banner, McGill's database, is now operating after an extensive upgrade. After a weekend downtime, both Minerva, the University's self-service administrative system, and INB, Internet Native Banner for administrative staff, are up and running.
The University portal, myMcGill, continues to experience intermittent problems. Unstable data in the database is causing some problems for users logging into myMcGill today. Please try again later if you have difficulty signing in. The problem is being investigated.
Please note that email on the po-box server (@po-box.mcgill.ca) will be unavailable beginning Sunday, July 31, 2005 at 22h00 until 8h00 Monday, August 1, 2005 while maintenance is being done. Incoming messages will be queued and delivered once the system is back up.
Power has been restored to the Meakins-Christie building (2636 St. Urbain), after a power shut-down by Hydro-Québec this morning. Network connections in the building should be back to normal.
Please note that the Anti-Spam Quarantine Web site (http://yourspam.mcgill.ca) will be unavailable on Wednesday, May 31, from 7:30 am to 8:00 am, due to maintenance. Email delivery is not affected and will continue to function.
Class Photos on Minerva will not be available for the remainder of the day due to technical difficulties.
ICS does not recommend that our users install Service Pack 2 on Windows XP machines at this time. Resolutions to SP2 problems are still being sought. Updates on the situation will be posted as more information becomes available. Meanwhile ICS, in collaboration with faculty and department LAN administrators, is compiling some of the most recent problems encountered as a result of SP2 installation.
