Reminder - Worf (Novell NetWare) public domain server decommissioning

As part of the overall university initiative to phase out NetWare file and print services, all services currently provided by WORF (public domain NetWare server) will be migrated to a Windows environment or eliminated no later than Friday, January 14, 2005.

Network access slowdown

From approximately 2:30 p.m. until 3:40 p.m. this afternoon, we experienced file server problems. Access to files on the network, the Internet, email, etc. was affected. Access is slowly getting back to normal.

Minerva login errors

Users may experience errors this afternoon when logging in to Minerva. You may see an error screen or information that suggests you are not authorized to access the system. We are investigating the occurrence of these errors and ask that users be patient. Updates to follow.

Temporarily right-click on Login to Minerva links, INB links

If you are using Internet Explorer to access the Minerva login screen, the Course Catalog, or Class Schedule, you may need to temporarily right-click on the key icon and select Open Link from the pop-up menu that appears. To link to INB from Banner for administrative staff (INB), you should also right-click to open the link.

Email delivery problems

Telephone problem at Macdonald campus

There is currently a telephone problem at MAC campus -- no one can make or receive calls. Representatives from Network and Communications Services (NCS) are looking into the issue. Check this site for updates.

Banner Data Warehouse downtime

The Data Warehouse will be unavailable from 10 pm, Thursday, August 2, until 10 pm, Sunday, August 5, due to system maintenance. During this period, it will not be possible to generate reports or queries from the Data Warehouse. Nakisa will also be affected by this downtime.

REMINDER: New McGill Wireless Network - mandatory NetConnect upgrade

PO-BOX slowdown
