The University portal, myMcGill, continues to experience intermittent problems. Unstable data in the database is causing some problems for users logging into myMcGill today. Please try again later if you have difficulty signing in. The problem is being investigated.
The following message is intended for all McGill faculty and staff.
Imaging applications will be unavailable this Friday, June 8, from 7:30 am to 9 am approximately, due to system maintenance. This affects those using AX applications directly or through Banner. Users should close all AX applications at end of day Thursday, June 7, and not log onto any AX application (Document Manager, Index Capture, Web Access) during the maintenance period on Friday.
Please note that telephone service and/or network connectivity will be unavailable in several buildings from Wednesday, June 14, at 17h00 to Thursday, June 15, at 05h00, and from Thursday, June 15, at 17h00 to Friday, June 16, at 05h00, due to construction in the McIntyre Garage.
Please be aware of a new virus, MyTob.CU worm, spreading through email with a subject "Your Email Account is Suspended For Security Reasons" or "Account Alert." Do not open any attachment.
Due to system upgrades, these systems will be unavailable during the following periods, in addition to the scheduled monthly downtimes: Saturday, Oct. 6, 12:01 am, until Tuesday, Oct. 9, 6 am (Thanksgiving weekend), and Friday, Nov. 16, 5 pm, until Monday, Nov. 19, 6 am.

A new variant of Beagle, Worm.Bagle.BB-gen, or W32.Beagle.CG@mm, is currently spreading through McGill's email system. It arrives via email, with a blank subject line and a .zip attachment (price.zip or newprice.zip). Do not open attachments.
The telephone problem that occurred this morning at around 8:40 a.m. has now been fixed.
