Please note that EXCHANGE mail server will be unavailable on Thursday, February 23 (tonight), from 10:00 pm to 10:30 pm, due to an upgrade. Incoming messages will be queued and delivered once the system is back up.
Banner and Minerva are down until further notice. As a precaution, we are performing more tests and data validation before making the system available. This notice will be updated as appropriate.
Beginning on February 20, 2008, McGill staff email addresses ending in @mcgill.ca will be automatically filtered for spam using the McGill Anti-Spam Quarantine system, and subscribed to receive the daily quarantine digest. See "Details" for more information.
Please note that the Anti-Spam Quarantine Web site (https://yourspam.mcgill.ca) will be unavailable on Thursday, March 15, 2007, from 06h00 to 06h30, due to a system upgrade. Email delivery is not affected and will continue to function.

Please be advised of the telephone scam about winning a trip to Florida. This is a scam and you have not won a trip. Pressing "9", as suggested, will generate a long distance charge on your telephone. McGill Network and Communications Services reported the automated call to Bell Canada this morning.
Anti-Spam Quarantine Digest: Email addresses ending in @mcgill.ca will be subscribed on Friday, March 14
As you may know, beginning on February 20, 2008 McGill staff email addresses ending in @mcgill.ca were automatically opted into the McGill Anti-Spam Quarantine system (with the exception of those who had already opted out intentionally). However, subscription to the Quarantine Digest was not done at that time. Faculty and staff who were automatically opted-in will now also be subscribed to receive the digest email on Friday, March 14. The digest email will be delivered once a day, only if messages have been quarantined since the last digest.
The STAFF server is being decommissioned on May 31, 2007.
Mercury, the official name of the McGill online course evaluation system, is replacing MOLE (its former name) throughout the Minerva login site. On June 1, look for Mercury instead of MOLE on Minerva's Student, Faculty and SR administration menus. None of the functionality has changed for this renaming. You should continue to access your course evaluations as before. For the official announcement issued by the Provost on the new name, click on "Details."
Minerva will be unavailable at 5 pm on Friday, May 6, for a period of about 15 minutes. We appreciate your patience.
