Network connections from Solin Hall and the MUHC were interrupted earlier today due to a minor landslide, which broke a fibre cable link just outside the McIntyre Medical Building. Network crews were able to restore service by 3:00 pm the same day.
Please be advised that ICS Customer Support will be closed today (Thursday) at 16h00. Telephone support will be available tomorrow at 08h00.
Some students will not be able to log in to the University portal, myMcGill, due to a technical problem. The students affected by this problem will see the message "Invalid username or password. Please try again" even when their credentials are correctly entered. This problem is being investigated. Please monitor future announcements for when this issue has been resolved.

We are currently experiencing problems with the McGill telephone system. No outbound calls are allowed at this time. However, calls coming in from outside McGill are working. An update will be posted here when more information is available.
The McGill e-payment service for processing all Internet-based credit card payments, such as those associated with applications for admission to McGill or McGill-licensed software (ELMS), will be unavailable Tuesday, February 6, from 8 am to 8:30 am.
Due to the storm yesterday some McGill buildings are experiencing power, Internet and telephone problems.
Please note that wireless access will be unavailable on Tuesday, October 4 (tomorrow), from 5 am to 6:30 am, due to system maintenance. Other than a two-minute interruption during this period, wireless sessions already in progress should not be affected.
Please note that the PO-BOX mail server will be unavailable from 06h00 to 09h30 on Sunday, September 19, 2004, due to a maintenance procedure. The STAFF and ELF mail servers may also experience intermittent downtimes during this period. Incoming mail will be queued and delivered when service is restored.
These systems have been successfully upgraded and are now available.
