It may also threaten to delete one of your McGill accounts if you do not reply with the information. This email does NOT come from a McGill source -- it is a fraudulent attempt to gain access to your personal information. McGill never solicits any such information by email. If you receive this email, please delete it immediately. If you have already replied to this email and sent your personal information, you need to reset your McGill Password and Minerva PIN (and any other passwords that relate to your Date of Birth) as soon as possible. On Thursday, at around 11:30 am, we encountered a problem with some of our network switches, which are connected to several central servers. When the switches were rebooted, connectivity to the servers was lost, and this may have prevented some users from accessing their emails and network files. The servers and their associated services were restored to normal by 12:15 pm. We apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced.
As part of a movement toward standardizing logins into McGill online services and IT systems, as of Thursday, January 18, 2007, please use your McGill Username and McGill Password to log into the wireless network as indicated on the login screen. The Unique Login ID (first.last) will no longer be accepted as of this date.
Please note that WebCT CE and WebCT Vista will both be unavailable from Saturday, May 13, at 10:00 pm to Sunday, May 14, at 8:00 am, due to maintenance.
On Sunday, August 14, between 10h00 and 18h00, the LISTSERV service will not be available while LISTSERV is migrated to a more powerful server and upgraded to a later version. All submissions to LISTSERV will be queued and processed upon completion of the migration/upgrade.
