The uApply system will undergo a scheduled maintenance operation Wednesday, October 2, between 4 pm and 6 pm. The system may be unavailable during this period.
uApply is the system used by applicants to McGill graduate programs and by admissions staff to process those applications.

Mid-Course Evaluations
Want to receive useful feedback from students about your course mid-term? This can help you make changes immediately as well as encourage participation in end-of-course evaluations. Effective strategies include setting up an anonymous discussion board, administering an online survey using myCourses, or having an in-class student-led forum.
Customization of Course Evaluation Questionnaires
Did you know that you can request that up to three (3) additional specific questions be added to your Mercury end-of-course evaluations? Please ensure that you send your questions to the Department Mercury Liaison no later than Monday, October 21, 2013 to be included in the fall evaluations.
Library Collections: Relocation Update
This summer, the McGill Library has undergone many significant changes that will impact the ability to locate and access parts of the collection at different branches. Latest Version of Clicker Software Available!
Download the latest version of TurningPoint for PC or Mac from McGill Software licensing website. The new version for Mac is now integrated with PowerPoint (for Macs running MS PowerPoint 2011).
uApply launched for graduate applicants for Fall 2014 term
We are pleased to announce that uApply launched for graduate applicants for the Fall 2014 term today, Tuesday, October 1st at 9 a.m. The new application is working well and will facilitate a smooth application process for prospective McGill students; however, during the testing phase of the latest version of uApply some issues were discovered affecting the system’s administrative functionality.
At present the following uApply features are unavailable:

The Right Start: Building a Healthy Student-Supervisor Relationship
As a professor, supervising graduate students is in most cases very rewarding. However, the supervisory experience can present professors with many challenges including conflict and at times, ineffective resolution of such conflict. If you would like to learn new strategies to improve communication with supervisees, you might be interested in training in conflict resolution, and in learning how to communicate expectations and responsibilities.
