Please be advised that a fibre optic cable was damaged due to a fire in a city utility tunnel in downtown Montreal, cutting phone, fax and email communications with our DAR colleagues located on Peel Street. We have been advised that data service will not be restored prior to Thursday morning, and phone service prior to Thursday afternoon (May 5), at the earliest. We are experiencing an issue with the anti-spam quarantine website yourspam.mcgill.ca. There are no blocked email messages, possibly due to a corrupt index. Technical experts are working on resolving this problem.
myCourses (WebCT Vista) will be unavailable until 12:01 am tonight due to a technical problem with the integration between Minerva and myCourses. All course data and content will remain intact. The problem is being worked on and we hope to have a resolution shortly. This has no impact on the Summer 2007 term.
Minerva and Banner interfaces will be unavailable from 5 pm, Friday, November 10, to 9 am, Monday, November 13, for purposes of an upgrade to version 7. ICS will be following the upgrade to provide necessary information.
The University portal, myMcGill, is experiencing many failed logins. As a result, the system will be down for maintenance from 16:30 to 17:00. You may experience a disruption of service during this period.
New students should note that they will not be able to set up and use their McGill email account until the next business day after they register.
VPN connectivity may be interrupted due to maintenance scheduled for Wednesday, March 12, and Friday, March 14, between 6:00 am and 6:10 am. If your VPN connection is dropped simply reconnect.
