Please note that the My CallPilot unified messaging service (http://mycallpilot.mcgill.ca) will be unavailable on Wednesday, April 18, 2007, from 08h00 to 10h00, due to an upgrade. The CallPilot voice messaging system is not affected and will continue to function.
Users may experience errors this afternoon when logging in to Minerva. You may see an error screen or information that suggests you are not authorized to access the system. We are investigating the occurrence of these errors and ask that users be patient. Updates to follow.
We are currently experiencing problems with the Exchange server. If you use Exchange, you will not be able to send or receive email messages at this time.
Virus infected machines affected our email servers yesterday, causing an overload and delay in email delivery. If you were expecting some important email, and you have not received it yet, please contact the person to have them send it to you again.
Starting February 1, 2008, the ICS Service Desk telephone support line hours (514-398-3398) will be extended.
Please note that users of McGill's wireless network may be disconnected at 6 am on Monday, July 16, while network maintenance is performed. You should be able to reconnect within 5 minutes. NCS apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
As previously announced, Windows users will need to upgrade to the new McGill Wireless NetConnect v2 dialer by mid-morning tomorrow (October 12, 2006).
Maintenance work on the PO-Box Mail Server will be performed on April 20, from 07h00 to 12h00. Though no service interruption is expected, users may experience slow response. We thank you for your patience.
Announcement on behalf of the Interim Provost and CIO, Anthony C. Masi: Effective 16 June 2005, Dialup Access Services (DAS) will be provided free of charge to all academic staff. The provision of free DAS removes the previous restrictions of only four free hours for academic staff and free monthly use only for instructors who used DAS to access WebCT.
