Network and Communications Services (NCS) will be upgrading LISTSERV from version 14.4 to 14.5 on Friday, August 18. This newer version will provide list subscribers with new security features that will protect the contents of their email during transit. During this upgrade, LISTSERV availability will be intermittent between 10h00 and 17h00. Email posted to lists during this period will be temporarily held and distributed upon completion of the upgrade. NCS apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
New INB information site for Banner users now available.
Due to a system problem, approximately one quarter of incoming and outgoing email messages were returned to senders today between 11:10 am and 11:50 am. The problem has since been resolved and email delivery is back to normal.
myCourses will be unavailable from 6 to 8 am on Saturday, December 8, for purposes of system maintenance. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Please note that the My CallPilot unified messaging service (http://mycallpilot.mcgill.ca) will be unavailable on Wednesday, April 18, 2007, from 08h00 to 10h00, due to an upgrade. The CallPilot voice messaging system is not affected and will continue to function.
Users may experience errors this afternoon when logging in to Minerva. You may see an error screen or information that suggests you are not authorized to access the system. We are investigating the occurrence of these errors and ask that users be patient. Updates to follow.
We are currently experiencing problems with the Exchange server. If you use Exchange, you will not be able to send or receive email messages at this time.
Virus infected machines affected our email servers yesterday, causing an overload and delay in email delivery. If you were expecting some important email, and you have not received it yet, please contact the person to have them send it to you again.
Starting February 1, 2008, the ICS Service Desk telephone support line hours (514-398-3398) will be extended.
Please note that users of McGill's wireless network may be disconnected at 6 am on Monday, July 16, while network maintenance is performed. You should be able to reconnect within 5 minutes. NCS apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
