The Public and Private Lives of Digital Media
This research group will convene twice a month for the purposes of offering critical feedback and commentary on works in progress. Scholars across the Arts working on digital life are welcome to participate. Current participants include graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and professors working at the intersection of digital life, publics, politics, and the arts. Fall presentations include papers and proposals on: digital dissent, the protest ensemble Anonymous, participatory publics in medicine, online lurking, and free culture and the archive. Papers or proposals are pre-circulated prior to the meeting.
