Inter-American Development Bank "Young People" Programs

The IDB offers several opportunities directed specifically to young individuals interested in development in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The Young Professionals Program seeks exceptionally qualified and motivated individuals under the age of 32, who hold graduate degrees and want to start a professional career at the Bank. The two-year program aims to provide Young Professionals with exposure to the different business areas of the Bank and to afford maximum on–the-job training.

Our Research Fellowship Program provides full or part-time graduate or undergraduate students, or recent graduates, from an accredited university with an opportunity to receive, expand and apply their educational and practical experience in areas relevant to their current academic/professional pursuits, for a period of up to two years.

Finally the Internship Program gives current college students an opportunity to learn on-the-job during their winter and summer breaks for two to three months.
