For international students who are unfamiliar with Montreal or the North American lifestyle, moving to McGill can be a daunting experience. McGill requires all international students and their accompanying dependents to participate in the compulsory McGill International Health Insurance Plan 2013-2014 which is administered by International Student Services.
McGill's International Student Health Insurance Plan is compulsory for all international students, except in rare situations where exemptions may be granted. However, your health insurance coverage may be cancelled if you:
McGill requires all international students and their accompanying dependants to participate in the compulsory health insurance plan, which is administered by International Student Services. The cost of the International Health Insurance for the Summer 2014 term is $317. The coverage runs from May 1 to August 31, 2013.
International Student Services is pleased to assist all undergraduate & graduate degree students, post-doctoral fellows, exchange students and other students who have opted in to Student Services fees. Continuing Studies students must contact the School of Continuing Studies.
