An Impact Study was carried out in 2000 to document the scope of the IAIN's influence and the roles of IAIN alumni at the grass roots level and at the national level. Fuad Jabali, who received his PhD from McGill's Institute of Islamic Studies in 1999, headed the UIN Jakarta research team. Welcome to the IAIN Indonesia Social Equity Project
The IAIN Indonesia Social Equity Project (IISEP), a bilateral project funded by the Canadian International Development Agency and the Government of Indonesia, addresses social equity and religious pluralism in Indonesia and institutional reform in the education sector. The partner institutions are the State Islamic University (UIN) Jakarta and UIN Yogyakarta (formerly IAINs) and IAIN Ar-Raniry in Banda Aceh and McGill University in Montreal.
