Established in 1990, the Canadian Institute for Telecommunications Research (CITR) is a federally incorporated, non-profit research institute and a member of the federal Networks of Centres of Excellence (NCE) Program. CITR advances the competitiveness of Canadaís information and communications technologies (ICT) industries. The Institute organizes research programs of scale in strategic technologies that are emerging or anticipated in ICT. CITR also provides Canadaís ICT industries a flow of highly skilled R&D people.
