The Division of Surgical Research offers a graduate-level training program in Experimental Surgery leading to an MSc or PhD degree or a Diploma in Surgical Health Care Research. The academic program is streamed to permit students to concentrate on either a clinical or basic research track.
MSc - admission is usually from a BSc, MD or MVD degree with a minimum CGPA of 3.2
PhD - admission is usually from the MSc program or by transfer from the first year of MSc to PhD II after completion of a transfer exam.
Diploma in Surgical Health Care Research - admission is open to all graduate students in the Division of Surgical Research, but is specifically designed for surgical residents.
