The Division of Clinical Epidemiology is a research centre involved in the study of the impact of clinical practice on population health. It has expertise on the study of the risks and benefits of routinely prescribed medications for major chronic diseases including asthma, COPD, cardiovascular, diabetes, cancer, infectious diseases, rheumatoid arthritis, etc. The Technology Assessment Unit conducts research on the value and impact of new and old technologies introduced in the health care setting. The Division's faculty members teach in McGill's Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics and supervise graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.
