The mission of the Department of Psychology has three interrelated components: to provide a first-class undergraduate education focused on psychological science which prepares students for further education or training in psychology and other fields; to provide a first-class graduate education in psychology as a research-based discipline to prepare students for careers in research, education and the professional application of psychology; to conduct fundamental research in scientific psychology. The Department offers programs in both Arts and Science.
