IHSP project awarded Queen Elizabeth Scholarships Program Grant

The IHSP "Common Threads through the Commonwealth" project is one of two McGill initiatives that have received $500,000 grants from the Canadian Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Scholarships program. This project, led by Professor Antonia Maioni, will allow students from all over the Commonwealth to explore novel ways to addressing local, national and global challenges to health, well-being and equity.

The Prognosis

The Prognosis is an annual McGill student publication that features student research and articles on topics at the intersection of social, biomedical, environmental, global, and local perspectives on health. The journal is supported by McGill’s Global Health Programs (GHP) and the Institute for Health and Social Policy (IHSP).

The IHSP is now recruiting students for its Fall 2014 Student Programs! Deadlines are approaching, get your application started now!

The Institute for Health and Social Policy is now recruiting students for its Fall 2014 Student Programs.  Open to both graduate and undergraduate students, the IHSP Internship program is a 14 week on-campus work experience opportunity that includes training in translating research into policy. The Research Fellowship Program is a year-long opportunity for outstanding graduate students whose current or proposed dissertation topics are interdisciplinary and connected to understanding how social conditions impact population health and welfare.  Awards are offered for both programs.
