IDS Program

Since the Fall 2005 semester, IDS offers new programs for the Minor and Major concentrations, as well as the Honours and Joint Honours programs.

  • INTD 200 Intro to Int'l Development has been added to the Required Courses listing for the Minor and Major concentrations, and the Honours and Joint Honours programs.
  • The Program GPA has been increased from 3.00 to 3.30 for the Honours and Joint Honours Programs. The overall CGPA requirement will remain at 3.00.

  • Approval Requests for Courses not on IDS List

    1. Courses not already approved for the IDS program (i.e. not on current course list) will only be considered for approval if the request is made PRIOR to when course is taken. Requests will not be granted retro-actively.

    2. Approvals are granted on an individual basis, based on a submitted course outline and will not be applied to other students automatically. They are as well term, instructor and topic specific.

    Undergraduate Programs

IDS offers four types of undergraduate programs:

    Student Body

IDS is the third largest program in the Faculty of Arts, with over 900 students enrolled in the IDS program's options. Each year about 150 new students enroll in one of the undergraduate programs.
