Student Affairs Administrator (SAF1D)
Position Summary:
As the primary contact for our students in the Professional part-time MBA and the International Masters in Practicing Management programs, the incumbent's primary role is to manage their experience and get them fully engaged from the beginning of their studies to their graduation. The selected candidate will work with the Faculty's recruiting and marketing teams to strategize and increase enrolment. The incumbent will also work closely with our Development and Alumni Relations group and other key stakeholders to increase linkage between present students and alumni.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Interact with PMBA students to build excellent relationships and ensure a strong understanding of present and future needs; provide guidance on student affairs policies; manage student records, audit/approve student files in preparation for graduation; oversee student course registration
- Organize high impact events for PMBA students as well improve linkage between PMBA and full-time MBA and with other faculties (ex: law, engineering, medicine…)
- Work to build an environment of “lifelong connection” and additional involvement between alumni and the program, through organizing events, communication, breakfast meetings, etc…
- Administer the admissions process for the IMPM program and provide other necessary support regarding student records and graduation
Minimum Education & Experience:
Undergraduate degree
One (1) year related experience
OR
DEC III
Three (3) years' related experience
Other Qualifying Skills And/Or Abilities:
Proven ability to deal effectively and diplomatically in delicate situations. Demonstrated ability to prioritize and meet weekly and monthly deadlines. Must be client-focused and service-oriented with a proven ability to deal with people at all levels. Attention to detail. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team. Demonstrated ability to work in a PC environment using word processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation software and ability to use e-mail as well as Minerva, Banner (SIS) and Crystal Reports. English and French, spoken and written.
