If you miss the 60-day window, your spouse will be added effective January 1st of the following year.  However, If your spouse has no other health coverage, he/she will be added immediately.

If you are under 65, you may opt out of the McGill Supplemental Health Plan provided you can confirm, in writing, that you have coverage available through another group health plan (such as your spouse's plan).
