McGill and AGSEM TAs ratify article on disciplinary measures

McGill met with AGSEM teaching assistants on October 10. After a final review of the article on disciplinary measures, the parties ratified the bilingual version of the document.  Highlights include clarification of the process, more specifically the amendments related to the union’s presence during disciplinary measures, the possibility for employees to submit their version of the facts and the delay to issue in writing the decision on disciplinary measures.

The parties agree on proposal concerning grievances and arbitration

The parties met on October 24. They discussed the employer’s proposal concerning grievances and arbitration. The parties signed off on a clearer and simpler version of the text. They also agreed on changes to the process indicating who does what at each step.

The parties discuss performance evaluations

On November 6, the parties met to discuss performance evaluations. The parties reviewed and clarified the process, notably what must occur at the start of the session, at mid-term and at the end of the session.  They also discussed the role of the supervisor and the employee.  The parties signed off on the English text; the bilingual version was signed on November 21.
