At the meeting of April 30, 2014, the parties covered two topics: new employee training and vacation scheduling in printing services.
The parties discussed the language used in the facilities/residences/Faculty Club collective agreement covering new employee training. They discussed the possibility of introducing the same language in the computing centre and printing services collective agreements. The parties agreed to include the same language in all 3 collective agreements.
The possibility of integrating into the printing services collective agreement language stemming from a letter of agreement on vacation scheduling was debated. The university did not agree to include such language in the printing services collective agreement. The union is maintaining its demand in this matter. The next meeting is scheduled for May 14.
The 3 bargaining units in question are: computing centre, printing services and facilities management/residences/Faculty Club, represented by SEU (Service Employees Union, local section 800, affiliated with the Quebec Labour Federation).
