McGill’s Health & Wellbeing Program for Faculty and Staff is back in full swing, with a line-up that includes Walking Wednesdays, a Museum Tour, talks by experts in their fields, a Blood Pressure Clinic, a Take-Thirty Challenge, and the 3rd Annual Health Fair for Faculty & Staff.
At the August 30 bargaining session, the university presented counter-proposals to the union’s counter-proposals presented earlier in the summer on course attribution, which includes a hiring priority system based on seniority points. Although no agreements were reached, the parties agreed to pursue discussions at the next bargaining session set for September 13.
Intended for all members of the McGill University Pension Plan; of most interest to those members approaching retirement. The following topics will be covered: understanding the importance of planning for your retirement; understanding the retirement options and decisions you will need to make, and determining if you will have enough sufficient money at retirement.
