Course objectives:
Welcome to the pilot of the NEW SERVICE EXCELLENCE PROGRAM for Managers of front line staff. Over the course of the 9-half day sessions (November 19,2015 – May 5, 2016), participants will glean knowledge and skills to create high functioning client-service centered environments and the people management skills (e.g. Coaching) needed to optimize engagement and effectiveness of their teams, even in times of high stress and change.

This hands-on workshop series will encourage the development of a service excellence community of practice at McGill, with people serving highly diverse clienteles (e.g. students, staff, etc.). Expert coaching will be provided throughout the program, and peer coaching and recognition will be integrated into the approach. Key themes include: Context (culture, structures, priorities, etc.), Empathy (self, staff, clients), Coaching and other interpersonal and leadership skills, and Integrating Meaningful Measures.
