Course objectives:
Content: Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Training is a legal requirement for all personnel working with controlled products in Canada. WHMIS is intended to protect the health and safety of workers by promoting access to information on hazardous materials used in the workplace. Environmental Health & Safety's WHMIS Core Training introduces participants to the 3 key elements of WHMIS: cautionary labeling; Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS); and worker education.

Certification: A WHMIS Core Training certificate is presented to participants who successfully complete the written exam. Certification is valid for a period of 3 years. If you have an expired certificate, you can extend your certification by registering to a WHMIS online course and exam or only for an exam session in person.

Duration: 120 minutes (excluding the online exam)
