|Sitting for long periods is hard on the body. It strains the back and causes the muscles to become slack. It also increases the risk of obesity, diabetes, heart disease and some cancers. Join Jill Barker, manager of Marketing and Communications in Athletics and Recreation Science and Fitness Columnist for the Montreal Gazette, for a 30-minute stretching session that will relieve those tense muscles and strengthen the slack ones. These are exercises you can easily incorporate into your day. You will feel refreshed and your body will thank you!
