Purpose

The Strategic Training Centre organized a Summer Student Competition to provide an opportunity for students to present their work publicly and to receive recognition for their accomplishment. The competition was held on Friday, August 4th from 9am to noon at the Osler Amphitheatre at the Montreal General Hospital. It was followed by a general meeting of all members of the CIHR Strategic Training Centre in Infectious Diseases and Autoimmunity - and then the Centre's summer party!

Prizes for best summer student presentations were awarded at the summer party:

First prize of $250:
Kwame Twumasi-Boateng for

Second prize of $150:
Shuvadeep Mitra for
"In vitro Characterization of the Innate Immune Response to Cryptococcus"
