Course Information

The Department offers a broad range of courses during the regular Fall and Winter semesters as well as the four more intensive summer sessions.

Courses are divided by level and area.

By level:

History courses follow the general pattern set by the Faculty of Arts. Introductory courses are either First Year Seminars (numbered in the 100s) or survey classes (numbered in the 200s and occasionally 300s).

***IMPORTANT NOTICE***

*NEW* History Program Requirements came in effect for students registering in an Honours/Joint Honours, Major or Minor history program as of Fall 2013.  Students who were already registered in one of these history programs in Fall 2013 may continue to follow 'old' history Honours/Joint Honours and Major or Minor program requirements.  


The Department offers three kinds of undergraduate programs: Honours, Major concentration and Minor Concentration.
